On forming a General Judgment on a Nativity. The map of the heavens, drawn out for the moment of birth of any individual, is termed the scheme or figure of the heavens, or, in other words, the horoscope. This must be taken, if possible, to with in a few seconds of the exact time of the infant's first breathing the atmospheric air, which causes it generally to utter a cry. The time, by a good watch, when that first cry is heard, is that for which the horoscope must be drawn out. But as births are rarely noticed with exactness, and as watches are not often quite correct, we shall eventually give rules for correcting the estimated time and calculating the true moment of birth, whenever the birth has been observed, and is certainly known to within a few minutes.
